BC Election 2013 - South of the Fraser River

The British Columbia provincial election is May 14, 2013

Here are the candidates from South of the Fraser River.

Each riding has:

  • the current MLA
  • the challengers, listed alphabetically by last name
  • a map of the riding

Each candidate has:

  • their political affiliation
  • website – either personal or page on their party's website
  • Twitter account

For this exercise I've defined "South of the Fraser" as extending from Delta to Aldergrove. Ridings are listing alphabetically.

Imagine Surrey: Four talks about the new Surrey downtown

There it is just outside the window: the new City Plaza

Imagine Surrey was an event at Surrey's City Centre library about urban planning for the new downtown on Saturday, March 2, 2013, from 11am-3pm.

There were four speakers, plus community displays and even an opportunity to help build a Lego city. I think the last event was aimed more for children.

Here are a few rough notes, hopefully not too incoherent.

Introduction

Info on South of the Fraser River: Surrey, Delta, White Rock, City of Langley, Township of Langley, Fort Langley. Maybe a bit of Abbotsford, just for fun.

This site is experimental. See About (top right) for more, or Blog for meta-information. The working goal is to create an almanac of items, tidbits of information and methods of gathering information.

Right now the site is biased to just south of the Fraser River, within the northern reaches of great City of Surrey, but there is some foraging further afield.
