Jack and I trundled out in the rain to the Langley Event Centre Friday, March 1, 2013 to see the Langley Rivermen play the Chilliwack Chiefs.
It's the BCHL. The players must be about 18-20 or so. They're that age where if they could grow a beard they did.
The line-up to buy tickets was long. And it was raining from the Pineapple Express. It turns out that there was a high-school basketball tournament also happening.
These guys are fast. They're also not big bulked-up goons either, so the game moved quickly with few stoppages. That makes for exciting hockey.
The Langley Entertainment Centre was finished in 2009 and includes the arena, courts, fields and even a banquet hall.

Introduction
Info on South of the Fraser River: Surrey, Delta, White Rock, City of Langley, Township of Langley, Fort Langley. Maybe a bit of Abbotsford, just for fun.
This site is experimental. See About (top right) for more, or Blog for meta-information. The working goal is to create an almanac of items, tidbits of information and methods of gathering information.
Right now the site is biased to just south of the Fraser River, within the northern reaches of great City of Surrey, but there is some foraging further afield.
